What is Spongefingers ?

truckSpongefingers is a parent and toddler group that has been established for over 20 years. We are a friendly group offering a safe place for your little ones to play and interact with other children. It is also a great to place for parents and carer’s to meet new people and old friends. Why not arrange to meet friends from other groups and even your antenatal class?

We are open every Thursday morning from 9.45-11am during Term time. We are based at St Andrews Church Hall, Hersham Road, Walton on Thames (Map).

Every week we have a craft table, full of exciting things to paint and make. During busy periods we will also provide easels for painting and chalk drawing. For specialised craft activities in the future we will provide details on our website, so please check out our Craft pages if you need some inspiration.

Once or twice a month we also have various exhibitors attending that set up a stall at Spongefingers. These can include, Jewellery, photography, books, cards and crafts. Please see Exhibitors for more details on dates.

At the end of every term we hold an end of term party where we have a bouncy castle, face painting and party food. These can be very popular and we have to limit the number of tickets to 50. We will give plenty of notice before tickets go on sale. For more information please see Events.

Spongefingers is a non-profit group that runs to meet the costs of running the hall, refreshments and craft supplies, any extra money is put towards keeping the toys in quality condition and replaced if necessary.

The group is organised by Deborah and Annemarie. Both are mums with two children, who enjoy their time at Spongefingers. We also have a couple of helpers that come regularly to help. We are very approachable, and if you have any comments then please see either Deborah or Annemarie. Alternatively, if you wish to make and anonymous comment then please Email us.

Please remember that this is an unsupervised toddler group. Parents/carers are responsible for the safety and conduct of their children at all times.

We hope you enjoy your time at Spongefingers, please invite your friends to come along, we would love to meet them!
